back to ROME

back to ROME

Going back to china was harder then going out… I needed to use my good contacts in the Israeli embassy in Beijing to get me an invention that I could get a 3 months visa and not only one month( no way to do 4000km in a month in china) and my friend guy kivetz did good work and I could have the important visa.
at list i could enjoy this place and my good friends.

Rome was amazing with my childhood friends, Naor and Liat; I also meet my cousin Sima and Hertzel so I enjoy the meeting and was busy in this really amazing city.

Barcelona is my favorite city in the world but Rome in the most beautiful.
i also did a short trip to Florance to see this amazing city and to see my friend Amit and he showed me the nice city.

The flights back to china were ok but the only problem is that my bug got to urumuqi a day latter… (Maybe he wanted to stay in Beijing and not doing this road again on a bike) the last flight to urumuqi was weird because I knew that this 4 hours going west on a plain will be 2 months on a bicycle…
I know that in the end of November I will take a part in an Israeli week in the capital of Sichuan province, the city of chengdu, its going to be really big and nice event so I am honored to take a part in this week, the Israeli embassy doing wonderful things here and they thing big like my journey.

So if you are in the area of Sichuan in the last week of November give me a call and you are welcome to join us (or its better to send me a mail…).
After the flights I was happy to see that emuna(my bike) is ok and nothing happen to my stuff and I brought emuna some gifts new tires and parts that I bought in Europe that she will be stronger to the future.

Maybe because of the jetlag or it’s because all the emotions that I had in the last 2 weeks I am really tired and in the first night back in china I slept 11 hours!!! I don’t remember when the last time that I did it was.
I am still tired but need to go to the road.
I fix emuna and some small stuff and took a 6 hours bus to the place that I stopped to cycle 20 days ago.
There is internet her so I am using it to write you this post before going back to the road.
Show must go on.

Going back to the no where in the desert in china was (and still) little weird for me, yes, I came to a place that I have been and I knew before but the extreme different from Barcelona and Rome to the talamakan desert is making the toll…
It’s not good or bad it’s just different

That’s a challenge that I knew that I will need to deal with when I told my friends in Eden that I will come to meet them.

And this post will be on the challenges in my journey.
Challenge is one of the things that drive me to my dream.
Sometimes if something is too easy I am not doing it and I like to challenge myself.

In this journey I challenged my body and my mind and even challenge my heart and this is a part of the never ending learning on my self and on the world that I am crossing.

I don’t competing with no one only with myself and the challenge is the thing the growing me as a person and as adventure.

After this meeting in Europe I am challenged myself to finish this journey in the best way that I can.
In basketball we say that it doesn’t matter who is starting the game it’s more important to ask who is finish the game.

I know and understand that there is a chance that challenge and my dreams will kill me one day but its make me feel alive.

When was the last time that you challenge yourself?

Love you all

Ethiopia my last country in the Black Continent was also a mystery for me. Many travelers say that this is “the” Africa feeling, a black hole where the past is still a present here. Cyclists all over the world think that Ethiopia is one of the hardest places to be cycling in because of the children that throwing stones and sticks on the bicycles… After the crazy and dangers desert of north Kenya (after I finish it I herd about killings and robbers on the same road that I cycled a week ago…) I got to the border city Moyale in the South of Ethiopia and it was amazing to see how many things are different from this side of the border. Different language, different food and culture. Some of my best friends (the Shapira family) were in organized group that travel in North Ethiopia and I could not miss them so I left the bike in Moyale and took a 2 days long bus to the capital of Ethiopia Adis Ababa.
