Another country, another continents and my last one…

I landed in the city of Dunedin in the south island after really long flight that was delayed for 4 hours and I already thought that It will be faster to go on a peddle boat… a funny story was when in the connection flight the guys moved something in the the box of the bike and the horn of Emuna was beeping (it sound like a car alarm) and they new zealandres thought more of the detraction of a bomb that about to explode so they called me in the speakers of the airport:”roei sadan come immediately to see whats going on with your box!”.

So I walk to them and they gave me a vast and we run toghter on the runway to “deactivated” the bomb…

after 5 years I meet a good friend\family of main, ran shapira, and the meeting was really great, ran living here in this amazing place and after all the stories and the photos I was happy to see what it all about and he helped me to just acclimatized to the idea that I am now in lord of the rings land.

We climbed the steepest street in the world and we most of the time just enjoy life.

For me it is time to go, I feel the butterflies in my stomach before starting the another continent, we looked at maps and planed the next 2 months route but maps are only maps and I am the one that need to make the maps a reality.

It was hard to break again from a good friend but I know that we will meet in 6 months in Israel…

a Israeli guy that wanted to cycle in new zealand contacted me I after I learned him (a journey on the road its like a relationship and you don’t want to start something with the wrong person ) I sensed that we have to chemistry together so we started to cycle together and to see new zealand in a share view.

This country is very calm and every where you look you see the green hills with the white dots (ship) on them.

like in every new continent I am still thinking about the last one and every thing look so different then asia and china…

I have rust on my body but after a 5 days on the road I fell strong again and my body feel relaxed when he is working all the day and he gets his amount of adrenalin the he used to have in the last years.

Some say that it like drugs but at list its good drugs.

I knew that new cycle in new zealand will not push my phisical limits but I was surprise to to climb a short but steep climb, that took us 3 hours and to see that this is the highest pass in new zealand … I hope that it will not always feel like a vacation and we will earn our rest in the night.

etamar is new to the world of cycling in the world(he did many mountain cycling in Israel) so he got many things to learn but he got the right attitude of wanted to learn and to be more efficient on the road.

We cycled on a cycling rout “the otago rail train route” and every day we camping and enjoying each other cooking and the Israeli coffee in the morning and maybe its because that I cycled in china where I don’t have no one to share the view and the thought of the road I was so happy to be with a friend that can give another points to your view.

The land is so beautiful and IF the weather is with you its a heaven for cyclists but if its raining hard it more feel like a hell on a bike but together hell its a little less harder to cross.

With the help to the local Israeli embassy a local news paper contact me and we did we meet. There is riots all over the world but her in new zealand I found myself in the FRONT page on the new paper, a billion ship cant go wrong…

there is more to write but we will keep to the future I just want to keep on going and to create more smiles in the world.

I got a spoiled eye but Yangshuo surprise me.

This is not a traveler blog it’s a journey diary. Usually I am not telling people where to go, I believe that people need to listen to the hearts and then they will see the places or the people that they always dream of, but in this case I will tell you that you HAVE to see the crust mountains of the small city yangshuo in the area of Guilin city in south china.

I waited long time to meet William Lu a friend of my family and this was magic time. William has a great hostel and café (7th heaven) and his wife, Linda, has a cooking class in her restaurant (cloud 9) so I got a “vip” treatment…

Eating good and try to rest my mind from the deserts of china before planning New Zealand and Australia. William is a guy that always smiles he gives you energy in his words and wisdom and I was so happy that he could show me this amazing place.

It’s always nice to meet travelers and to feel “normal” again, to joke about the challenges that the chine’s people give you.

Its no secret that china took everything that I got, physically but more mentally and that’s why I got her just to clear my mind.

It’s a different china when you are traveling in touristy place and to look at the people when you are not thinking about how cold is it or “how the hell I am going to cross this desert” it’s a different sight when you look a at a view point when you resting and don’t need to think (yet) where I need to put my tent. I see different things when my eye is resting, I have more time to be with the locals to eat there food and for some time not to be on the costume of jinji cycling around the world with out people asking all the time where and when I am going and all the usual questions that I can answer from my sleep already.

A girl that I meet in Chengdu, Miri, came to visit me and we had amazing time. We rent a tandem bicycle(Emuna needs to rest…) and for once in my life some one helps me to push the bike… Actually she wasn’t that good in paddling she were busy taking photos and asking me all the time “do you understand how amazing this place?” It’s always nice to be in this kind of places but if you can share it with someone its nicer.

That’s the end of china and the end of Asia and I already miss her I had a flight to Australia but I could not believe that I am leaving this continent, I will not write now a continent summary I will wait for the right time and usually when I fly on a simple plane I can understand what I did with amazing bicycle.

Before I finish I want to share with you what I learned in the last week even in the most beautiful places on earth you could still meet much more beautiful people then there surroundings.

The eye forgets but the heart will always remember.
